The Nepal Tourism Board and Himalayan Rescue Association Nepal (HRA) jointly organized an interaction Programme on Tourism Crisis and Building Partnership with an aim of increasing the safety and security of tourist visiting Nepal. The Programme was held at Hotel Shangrila on 28th February, 2013 (2069.11.16) Wednesday.
This interaction programme was attended by the officials of the embassies of Australia, USA, France, Switzerland, China, Isreal, Russia, Denmark, Finland, Canada and Consulate of Newzealand, Government Officials of Ministry of Home Affairs, Armed Police & Nepal Police & Officials from Tourism Associations were also present at the programme.
Welcoming all in the program, officiating CEO of NTB Mr. Subash Niruala highlighted on objectives and importance of the program. HRA Chairman Mr. Santa Subba also briefed on the role & responsibility and active involvement of HRA during crisis. Mr. Aditya Baral, Director, PR and Publicity, NTB presented powerpoint on Tourism Crisis – Initiative of NTB and HRA. After presentation the floor was open for the discussion to find solution to mitigate crisis. The participants shown concern over the rescue procedure and safety of tourists in Nepal in case of earthquakes and other similar disaster.
