Nepal Mountain Rescue Training Course conducted on 6 to 13 June, 2025, organized by Eurac Research Institute of Mountain Emergency Medicine in collaboration with Himalayan Rescue Association Nepal (HRA), Eurac Research Education and Training, International Commission for Mountain Emergency Medicine (ICAR MedCom), and Mountain Rescue Service of South Tyrol (BRD), concluded with grand success.

The training was made possible with generous support from the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen-South Tyrol, Italy. It aimed to enhance the technical and practical skills of mountain rescuers and medical doctors in Nepal, fostering international cooperation in mountain rescue operations. 20 participants including Medical Doctors involved in the wilderness medicine, NNMGA guides, Nepal Police – Disaster Management Division, Nepali Army High Altitude and Mountain School Jomsom, and HRA staff were the main participants of the training.

Certificate distribution ceremony was held on June 13, 2025, at Hotel Manaslu, Kathmandu. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Badri Prasad Pandey, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation as the Chief Guest, who handed over certificates to the participants and commended the joint efforts in strengthening mountain rescue capacity in Nepal.
