Australian Ambassador to Nepal His Excellency Glenn White handed over the Medical and Communication Equipment to Mr. D.B. Koirala, Chairman of HRA during a handing over programme on Friday January 22, 2016 at the HRA head office Lazimpat, Kathmandu. The equipments includes Oxygen Concentrators (2 sets), Portable Altitude Chamber (2 sets), Pulse Oximeter (4 sets), Satellite Phone (3 sets) and Light Weight Laptop Computer (1 set). These equipments were purchased with the financial support from DAP Grant, Australian Embassy. These equipments are very much useful in saving lives in the mountain regions.
The Advisors of HRA, Executive Members and Convenor & members of Medical and Communication Equipment Purchase Committee, Chairman of various tourism related associations, representatives from Ministries, Nepal Tourism Board and Social Welfare Council and media personalities were present during the programme.
Welcoming the guest in the Programme, Chairman Mr. Koirala high lighted on the activities of HRA and expressed sincere thanks to the Ambassador and Embassy for all the support provided to HRA since long time. His Excellency Ambassador also admired the works of HRA team and expressed happiness on being a part of HRA work in the Himalayas. His Excellency expressed his thought for a long term relationship and also informed that he is planning to visit HRA Manang Aid-post as he visited to Pheriche Aid-post last year (2014 October) during his visit to Everest Region.
