Himalayan Rescue Association Nepal (HRA) organized a Felicitation Programme in honor of the CEO of NTB, Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi and Volunteer Doctors of HRA who served at Manang and Pheriche in the Fall Season 2018 at Hotel Kaze Darbar, Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu on Thursday, December 6, 2018, (2075.8.20).
Chief Executive Mr. Prakash Adhikari welcomed all the distinguished guest at the Felicitation Programme.
Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi was felicitated by HRA for his outstanding achievement wining the award of “Highest IIPT Championship in Challenge” award 2018 from “International Institute of Peace through Travel and Tourism at the ITCMS (International Travel Crisis Management Summit) in London (UK). Mr. Joshi is first Nepali to be recognized as “International Tourism Peace Ambassador”.
Likewise, the HRA Volunteer Doctors who served in Manang and Pheriche were also felicitated with a “Plaque of Honor”
Chief Guest, Director General, Department of Tourism, Mr. Danduraj Ghimire facilitated the CEO of NTB and HRA Volunteer Doctors with a “Plaque of Honor”.
In the programme Legendry Mountain Medicine Doctor- Dr. Peter Hackett who served at Pheriche in 1975 was also felicitated with Khada by the Director General of Department of Tourism, Chairman and Medical Director of HRA.
The Chairman of HRA Mr. Narendra Deo Bhatta shed light about the International award which was received by Deepak Raj Joshi and appreciated for wining such prestigious award. Mr. Bhatta, thanked all the Volunteer Doctors for their valuable services in saving lives in the Himalayas. Mr. Bhatta also thanked the Director General for his valuable time to attend the programme. He also thanked all the distinguished guests and Executive Committee Members for their active participation in the Felicitation Programme.
