The Himalayan Rescue Association Nepal (HRA) participated in a grand launching program of National Campaign “Visit Nepal 2020” on Wednesday, 1st January, 2020. Nepal government launched Visit Nepal 2020 with the slogan “Lifetime Experiences” here in Dasharath Stadium, Kathmandu aiming to bring 2 million foreign tourists this year in Nepal.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari made the formal launch of campaign by torching the “Light of Unity” and unveiling the official mascot “Yeti”. The ceremony was started with the chanting of seven religious mantras. Various social and business organizations, banks, educational institutions, tourism related organizations, governmental and non-governmental agencies took part in parade with a musical fusion vibration of various musical group. HRA Board Members and staff participated in parade with the banner of HRA. The ceremony was confluence of various cultural & religious dances, music and activities etc. The procession was also conducts from Thamel to Kathmandu Durbar Square and ended in Dasharath Stadium.
